The Madison City Council approved a zoning map amendment at its Aug. 12 meeting to rezone 34.754 acres of property on Sovis Road from Light Industrial/Manufacturing to a Planned Commercial District.

Madison establishes millage rates for 2024 tax year

The Madison City Council set millage rates for the city’s three tax districts on Aug. 2, with all three set at the rollback rate.The city set the Madison district rate at 5.317, which was a decrease of 0.107 from the previous year’s rate, which had been set at 5.424, also a rollback rate.

City accepts bid on Hill Park restroom project

After years of delays, Hill Park in Madison may finally get the restrooms city leaders have wanted to install there.The Madison City Council accepted the low bid on the project during a July 8 meeting. E&E Construction submitted a low bid of $263,242.

Madison City Council approves budget for FY2025

The City of Madison adopted its budget for FY2025 at its meeting on June 17.Madison City Manager John Klimm and Finance Director Karen Stapp presented the FY2025 budget to Mayor Fred Perriman and council members on May 17. The council voted to adopt it precisely one month later.
