FOOTBALL: Titans topple Lions with late score

It was about as perfect an ending as you could have scripted for Lake Oconee Academy’s 15-14 win over Loganville Christian Academy last Friday night at Tucker Field.

School system alleges LOA has violated its charter

The Lake Oconee Academy Board of Governors Wednesday responded to a Sept. 9 letter from Greene County School Superintendent Dr. Chris Houston that accused the district’s charter school of violating the terms of their charter agreement.

VOLLEYBALL: Titans transition from tough non-region slate

After having to go through the gauntlet of a difficult non-region schedule, the Lake Oconee Academy Titans’ volleyball team has started off region play undefeated.

FOOTBALL: Sampson leads Oglethorpe County 42-0 over LOA

The Oglethorpe County Patriots’ offensive attack was too much for Lake Oconee Academy to handle in a 42-0 rout. The Titans’ defense failed to stop Oglethorpe quarterback Will Sampson, who accounted for all six of the Patriots’ touchdowns. Their offense couldn’t muster up any momentum, either.

SOFTBALL: Titans split first region double-header

The Lake Oconee Academy softball team got back on the right track during last Monday’s doubleheader against the Washington-Wilkes Tigers.

In a hastily called special meeting, the Lake Oconee Academy Board of Governors last Friday voted to ask the Georgia Department of Education to allow the charter school to increase its enrollment above the charter limit of 1,051.
