After having its first multiple-win season in years, the Greene County baseball program decided to hire its new head coach internally.

Dr. Brad Bowling, upper school director at Lake Oconee Academy, will become the executive director of LOA effective July 1. The LOA Board of Governors voted Monday night to offer Bowling a two-year contract for the top position at the Greene County charter school.

The Lake Country Chorus presented Singing Days a Week April 20, at Festival Hall in Greensboro under the baton of Artistic Director Donna C. Valvo, Instrumental Director Tom Shalin, accompanist Amy Reber, and choreographers Maureen Brower and Charlotte Mosteller.

The city of Greensboro, with its tree-lined streets, Festival Hall, historic influence, welcoming downtown merchants, and both long-term and new citizens attracted to its small-town charm has much going for it.
