LCMAU continues to aid war-torn Ukraine

Lake Country Medical Aid for Ukraine (LCMAU) has spearheaded fundraising efforts and raised more than $157,000 through generous donor contributions. But the need continues for financial support to replace dwindling medical supplies and services throughout the war-torn country.

The Greene County football team defeated the Wilkinson County Warriors 28-7 last Friday night in Tiger Stadium to improve to 3-1 on the season. The last time the Tigers had a 3-1 record through their first four games of the season was back in 2016 when the team finished 9-4 and lost in the quarterfinals of the GHSA Class A-Public state playoffs.

Coming against many who sought to quash the planned unit development, the 72 townhomes to be built along five private roads are expected to be part of a larger development of Airabella on a 137-acre site along the busy Highway 44 corridor.
