Greene County Judicial center dismissed by county commissioners

The Greene County Board of Commissioners announced Monday that proposed plans to move judicial services out of the county courthouse in downtown Greensboro and into a new 1.7-mile-away Judicial Center are dead. A committee will be formed to evaluate the courthouse's space.

Greene County BOC hears complaints about courthouse proposal

More than 100 people showed up Monday morning for a special called meeting of the Greene County Board of Commissioners about the future of the county courthouse, which sits on a one-block, county-owned island in the middle of downtown Greensboro.

What’s the future of the Greene County courthouse?

The Greene County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a call meeting on Monday, July 29, to discuss how to solve the problem of overcrowding at the Greene County Courthouse in downtown Greensboro.

City approves rate study, townhome preliminary plat

Greensboro City Council held its second meeting of the month Monday night and discussed several new concerns within the community. The meeting lasted nearly an hour due to the council’s decision to go into executive session regarding an undisclosed legal concern.

Independence Day at Harbor Club

City council extends 90-day vape shop moratorium

Greensboro City Council taking time on hiring city manager

There is still no official Greensboro city manager. Mayor Corey Williams nominated Sylvester city manager Autron Hayes for the position at the May 6 council meeting. In a split 3-2 vote, the city council supported the mayor’s nomination.It was expected to become official at Monday’s meeting.
