Titans turn attention to Crawford County

Lake Oconee Academy (3-3) is back on the road this Friday to take on Crawford County (1-4) at 7:30 p.m. for the team’s seventh game of the season. • Series History: This will be the first-ever meeting between Lake Oconee Academy and Crawford County.

Lady Titans find momentum midway through season

Lake Oconee Academy has seen some recent success on the diamond from the Lady Titans’ softball team and hopes to continue on that track as it finishes the last handful of regular-season games.

Gatewood falls 35-0 to end winning streak

The undefeated streak ended at four for the Gatewood Gators Friday night as they were shut out 35-0 in Columbus by the defending Class 4A state champion Ste. Anne-Pacelli Vikings.

Titans can’t weather storm against ‘Canes

Jasper County defeated Lake Oconee Academy 12-6 in a defensive battle this past Friday. The Titans had multiple chances to take a lead, but their offense struggled to capitalize on turnovers and good field position.

Bulldogs knock off No. 7 Monroe Area

Morgan County (4-1) upset Class 3A’s No. 7 Monroe Area 35-17 this past Friday in a non-region game. The win was special for the Bulldogs, who had not beaten the Purple Hurricanes since 2019. Now, after consecutive top-10 wins, Morgan is up to the No. 7 spot in Class 3A rankings this week.

Greene County was able to avenge last year’s loss by defeating Oglethorpe County 14-7 last Friday in a closely contested game.

Bulldogs battle back to beat Gamecocks

Top-ranked Georgia battled back after trailing at the half to defeat South Carolina 24-14 this past Saturday. The Gamecocks came out swinging and quarterback Spencer Rattler proved why he’s among the best quarterbacks in the conference.

Top-ranked Georgia set to face UAB

‘Dogs softball on hot streak, get set for final stretch
