Tigers rack up All-Region honors

Greene County had one of its best seasons in recent years and was awarded for its success in 2023. The Tigers, who went 10-2 and made it to the second round of the Class A Division II state playoffs, had nine players earn All-Region honors for their performances on the field this past season.

Dawgs make statement with rout of FSU

Georgia made a huge statement in its 63-3 rout of Florida State this past Saturday in the Orange Bowl. Both teams were left out of the College Football Playoff, but the No. 6 Bulldogs showed why they should have made it after losing Dec. 2 to No. 4 Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Lake Oconee Academy's Georgia Bosart reaches career milestone

Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball senior Georgia Bosart scored her 1,000th point last week. Bosart reached the mark in a 45-43 loss to out-of-state opponent Graceville during a tournament in Panama City Beach.

Strickland to play in Georgia Elite Classic

Morgan County’s Davis Strickland was invited to play in the Georgia Elite Classic this Friday in Rome. The Bulldogs’ sophomore quarterback accepted the invitation to play in the game from Georgia high school football guru Rusty Mansell.

Lady Titans learn to grow within tough schedule
