Dawgs make statement with rout of FSU

Georgia made a huge statement in its 63-3 rout of Florida State this past Saturday in the Orange Bowl.
Both teams were left out of the College Football Playoff, but the No. 6 Bulldogs showed why they should have made it after losing Dec. 2 to No. 4 Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball senior Georgia Bosart scored her 1,000th point last week.
Bosart reached the mark in a 45-43 loss to out-of-state opponent Graceville during a tournament in Panama City Beach.

Strickland to play in Georgia Elite Classic

Morgan County’s Davis Strickland was invited to play in the Georgia Elite Classic this Friday in Rome.
The Bulldogs’ sophomore quarterback accepted the invitation to play in the game from Georgia high school football guru Rusty Mansell.

Five Gators earn All-State honors for 2023

Despite a close loss in the state championship game early this month in Macon, the Gatewood Gators enjoyed a successful season on the gridiron.
The team went 10-3 overall and saw five players named to the All-State Team.
