‘Dogs rout Warren with offensive explosion

Morgan County dominated Warren County in its season opener with a 48-16 victory last Friday at home.The Dogs’ offense didn’t skip a beat, totaling 617 yards across four quarters to power them to a win.“We moved the ball well,” Morgan head coach Cliint Jenkins said.

Morgan, Putnam ready to resume rivalry on gridiron

Putnam County and Morgan County will meet on the gridiron for the first time since 2021 this Friday in Eatonton. The ‘Dogs lead the all-time series 31-18-1, but the War Eagles have won the last two games by a combined 42-2 score.Putnam County head coach Joel Harvin is happy the rivalry is back.

Burt powers Tigers past War Eagles

Greene County’s Laryous Burt did a little of everything in the Tigers’ 28-20 win over rival Putnam County last Friday.Burt had two touchdowns – a fumble return for six and a receiving score – and nine tackles, including a sack.

Tigers face Twiggs County on the road

Greene County (1-0) will travel to Jeffersonville on Friday for a road game against Twiggs County (0-1).The Tigers are coming off a 28-20 win over rival Putnam County. On the other hand, Treutlen gave the Cobras a 40-0 loss after a disastrous 0-9 finish in 2023 under former coach Patrick Wray.

Titans to take on George Walton Academy

‘Dogs open season with Warren County

Spike Dogs enter ‘24 season stress-free

The Morgan County volleyball team entered the 2024 season with a stress-free mindset.In 2022, the Spike Dogs won the Class 3A state championship, and last season, they returned a core group with hopes of winning back-to-back titles.
