Dogs, Lady Dogs take care of business

The 2025 season for the tennis teams at Morgan County High School is already in full swing.The Dogs and Lady Dogs are coached by Connor Perry, who is in his second season.

Gatewood falls to Tatnall, sweeps CFCA

Gatewood sandwiched a loss at home to Tattnall Square Academy (TSA) between a pair of wins last week over region foe Central Fellowship Christian Academy (CFCA).Gatewood finished the week with a 10-5 overall record and 4-0 mark in region play. The second game against CFCA was exciting.

Dogs ranked No. 1, but seek to be ‘better’

Morgan is ranked No. 1 in Class 2A by CoachesBox.com following a strong start to the 2025 season. The Dogs boast a 13-2 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the region after Tuesday’s road win over Rutland.

LOA boys rely on senior leadership

The Lake Oconee Academy boys soccer team is hungry after losing in the second round of the playoffs last year.The Titans brought back a strong core from last season and are primed to make a return trip to the Class A Division II postseason next month.

Lady Titans off to hot start

Lake Oconee Academy’s girls soccer is halfway through the regular season.After Tuesday, the Lady Titans are 5-3 overall and 2-0 in region play.“Overall, the season has been competitive and a great learning experience for our team,” Lake Oconee Academy girls head coach Carina Baxley said.

Greene County soccer in rebuilding phase

Jacob Baxley accepted the job of coaching Greene County High School’s soccer teams last May with one goal in mind.Baxley, who previously coached at Lake Oconee Academy and Clarke Central, aimed to rebuild the program.
