Tigers have strong performance at state

The Greene County track and field teams wrapped up the 2026 season Monday in Athens at the GHSA Class A Division II state meet, closing out the year with several strong individual performances and relay finishes against some of the top competition in the state.

Dramatic semifinal win sends LOA girls to state match

The Lake Oconee Academy girls tennis team punched its ticket back to the GHSA Class A Division II state championship with a thrilling semifinal victory.The Titans defeated Miller County 3-2 on the road to advance.

Spike Dogs receive second-straight championship rings

Morgan County’s volleyball team celebrated its 2025 state championship season with a ring ceremony on May 8 in the school’s auditorium.The Spike Dogs finished the 2025 campaign with a 33-12 record, securing their second consecutive GHSA 2AA state title and third championship in four years.

Indians end LOA’s season in Elite Eight

After coming within inches of forcing a different outcome in both games, the Lake Oconee Academy baseball team saw its season come to an end May 6, as Charlton County completed a two-game sweep in the GHSA Class A Division II Elite Eight.

Morgan T&F sends solid group to state meet

The Morgan County boys and girls track and field teams will head to next week’s GHSA Class state meet in Athens with a deep group of qualifiers across nearly every event group.

Tigers post strong performance at sectionals

Greene County’s track and field athletes turned in a strong showing at the GHSA Class A Division II sectional meet over the weekend, highlighted by a relay title and several top finishes against elite competition.
