Titans sweep Treutlen to advance to Elite Eight

The Lake Oconee Academy baseball team is playing some of its best baseball at the right time.The Titans punched their ticket to the GHSA Class A Division I Elite Eight with a two-game sweep of Treutlen, showcasing both explosive offense and reliable pitching.

Lake Oconee Academy’s boys soccer team hosted Echols County on April 29 in the Sweet 16 round of the 2026 GHSA Class A Division II playoffs, and it took every last second to decide it.

Greene County T&F has strong showing at region meet

Greene County’s track and field program showed steady growth throughout the spring, and that progress paid off at the region meet last week.In his return leading the program, head coach James Miller saw his teams round into form at the right time.

LOA tennis teams advance to Elite 8

Lake Oconee Academy’s tennis teams are in the midst of another postseason run and will prepare for their Elite Eight matchups in the coming days. The girls’ team earned a 3-0 victory over Hawkinsville in its Sweet 16 matchup, while the boys’ team also posted a 3-0 win against Wilcox County.

Lady Titans cruise through first two rounds

Lake Oconee Academy’s girls soccer team defeated Brooks County 4-0 on Apr. 28 in the Sweet 16 round of the 2026 GHSA Class A Division II state playoffs.With the win, the Titans advance to the Elite Eight, where they will travel to face Screven County on May 4.

Morgan County T&F looks ahead to sectionals after winning region

Morgan County’s track and field program strongly opened postseason competition, as both the boys and girls teams captured the Region 2-AA titles at last week’s meet on April 21 at Jackson High School.
