The Morgan County boys’ basketball team has been practicing hard over the last month, despite recently losing head coach Jamond Sims after he resigned. Sims’ former assistant Brian Green usually runs things in the summer for the Bulldogs.

The Lake Oconee Academy baseball program held a youth camp earlier last week to try and bring some enthusiasm back to the sport. The camp saw about 25 to 30 kids between third and eighth grade in attendance working on multiple drills at the plate and on the field.

At the age of six years old, I remember my dad picking me up early from school one day and taking me to Florida. We went down to St. Marks, Florida and Shell Island Fish Camp. Now, this was in the very early 80s and one of the Jaws sequels had just come out.
