Football, family and faith inspire Kilgore

Putnam County’s football program has found its most success in recent memory over the last couple of years, and rising senior Jalon Kilgore has been instrumental in making that happen.

As the summer’s second dead-week approaches, the Greene County girls' basketball team hosted a “play date” in the school’s gymnasium last week. The event saw multiple schools from around the region participate as they scrimmaged each other.

Danielsville, Ga. — The Morgan County football team visited Madison County for a camp last week. The Bulldogs wrapped up the month of June by going head-to-head against the Red Raiders in 7-on-7 competition.

SOFTBALL: Defense is key for Lady Bulldogs as they prepare for season

Competition at Wimbledon is now underway with the finals to conclude the weekend of July 9-10. The All-England land Club which runs this championship, dating back to July 1868, no longer has to worry about inclement weather, so all events will take place in a timely and orderly manner.
