Bulldogs win thriller over Ohio State, advance to CFP title game

ATLANTA — No. 1 Georgia overcame two double-digit deficits to defeat No. 4 Ohio State 42-41 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Bulldogs trailed by 14 points in the second quarter and at the conclusion of the third.

BASKETBALL: Lake Country hoops roundup (Week of Dec. 26-30)

The 2022 high school basketball season started earlier this November, and most Lake Country programs have found success on the hardwood. Lake Oconee Academy, Gatewood, Greene County and Morgan County have all taken this holiday break to prepare for the next half of the season.

The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs have taken the last three weeks to prepare for the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes for their matchup on New Year’s Eve. The two elite teams will meet in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the College Football Playoff semifinal Peach Bowl game.

BASKETBALL: Gators rout Buccaneers on way to 6-2 record
