Bulldogs’ punter signs with West Georgia

About a month ago, Morgan County senior and varsity punter Nolan Harris signed his letter of intent to play at the next level for the University of West Georgia in the fall.

Brett Bell named Morgan County's new offensive coordinator

Morgan County football assistant coach Brett Bell is taking on a new role heading into the 2023 season. Bell was previously the defensive coordinator for the Bulldogs during the past few years but is now taking over the offensive coordinator position.

LOA tennis racks up All-State honors

After having two successful seasons, members of the Lake Oconee Academy boys and girls tennis teams were honored for their outstanding play over the course of the regular season and the state playoffs.

Peaster inks with The Winchendon School

Morgan County’s Harrison Peaster recently signed a letter of intent to continue his career at the next level. The now-graduated Bulldogs’ shooting guard is going to The Winchendon School in Massachusetts. He decided to go the preparatory school route because he values both education and sports.

Lady Titans tee off for fifth-consecutive title

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ golf team traveled to Thomson to play at the Belle Meade Golf Club for the GHSA Class A Division II state championship earlier this week. The Lady Titans came into the two-day event as the reigning two-time state champions and defended their title as such.

Bulldogs play solid spring game, rout Walnut Grove

Morgan County ended its spring camp on a positive note this past Friday with a win over Walnut Grove. The Bulldogs absolutely dominated the Class AAAA Warriors of Walton County with a 34-7 victory. “Overall, it was a really good spring. I thought our energy was good all camp long.

Titans end spring with scrimmage against Community Christian

Lake Oconee Academy ended its spring with a scrimmage against Community Christian last week. Despite the score not being kept, it’s safe to say the Titans came out on top as their offense scored with ease, while the defensive unit didn’t allow the Knights past midfield all night.

Tigers scrimmage Golden Hawks to end spring camp

After coming off one of its best seasons in recent memory, the Greene County football program began its spring camp just a few weeks ago. The Tigers got acclimated at the beginning of May and have been working out in the weight room and on the field ever since.

Bulldogs’ Shawn Morgan signs with Montreat College

Morgan County senior Shawn Morgan Jr. recently signed his letter of intent to play basketball at the next level for Montreat College in North Carolina. Morgan, who signed with the Cavaliers last Friday, is a 6-foot-5 forward with raw athleticism and a great work ethic.

Titans repeat as state champions

The Lake Oconee Academy boys tennis team traveled up to Berry College last Saturday to take on Taylor County for the GHSA Class A Division II state championship, and for the second year in a row, the Titans came out on top.
