Lady Titans ready to resume championship chase

After back-to-back trips to the state championship match, the Lake Oconee Academy girls soccer team enters the 2026 season with unfinished business — and plenty of motivation.The Lady Titans fell just short of a state title the past two years.

Dogs’ season begins amid some changes

The Morgan County boys soccer team enters the 2026 season facing an unusual start — and an immediate test.After weather disruptions and scheduling issues wiped out the Dogs’ usual preseason scrimmage schedule, Morgan County opened the year without the benefit of a true practice game.

Titans finish season showing growth

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team saw its season come to an end last week with a loss to a seasoned opponent.Warren County upended the Titans 60-45 to advance to the second round of the Region 8-Class A Division II tournament, bringing the Titans’ 2025–26 campaign to a close.

Morgan baseball faces season of transition

As the 2026 season begins, the Morgan County baseball team is ready to build on last year’s success.In 2025, the Dogs finished 32-10, captured a region championship, and reached the semifinals, leaving a “bitter taste” that has fueled their offseason motivation.

One family, two dreams: Jenkins twins excel for Morgan County

For Brody and Caroline Jenkins, the past few months have marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of another — one that will send Morgan County’s twin standouts on separate paths to the highest level of collegiate athletics.

Dogs’ basketball duo ready for postseason run

The Morgan County boys basketball team has a dynamic duo in seniors Jacoby Simmons and Zeki Locus.The veteran point guards have been key contributors for the Dogs since their freshman seasons and entered their senior campaigns as multi-year starters.
