Nancy Jeanette Adams Murray of Tucker, GA, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, at her home at the age of 89 with her loving family.
Born in Burlington, NC, on July 10, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Samuel David and Lottie Harris Adams. She grew up in Burlington and was a graduate of Williams High School.
She married Morris William Murray on March 31, 1957. Jeanette worked for AT&T as a secretary retiring in 1995. She always enjoyed reading and working in the yard and coming to Penfield where her husband grew up. She was a member of Penfield Baptist Church in Penfield, GA.
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Arnette, and husband Lee of Loganville, GA; grandson, Justin Arnette; other relatives and a number of friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Delmas Adams and Douglas Adams.
Graveside Services were held, on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Penfield Cemetery, 1211 Cemetery Road, Penfield, GA 30669 with Rev. Bryant Miller officiating. The family received friends Friday from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McCommons Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Justin Arnette, Lee Arnette, John Bostic, Steve Harwell, and Mark Burt. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W. Broad St., Greensboro, GA, (706) 453-2626, is in charge of arrangements.
