Harold Samuel Boyce

Harold Samuel Boyce, 75, of Buckhead, passed away on July 20, 2026.

Mr. Boyce was born June 9, 1951, in Augusta to the late Hugh and Henrietta Boyce. He grew up in Blythe and joined his family's dairy operation after graduating from high school. He married Beverly Newberry, and in 1984 the couple moved to Morgan County, where they established their own dairy, Ha-Bo Holsteins.

In 1987, Boyce was named Georgia's Young Dairyman of the Year. He operated the dairy until 1997, when he began working full time as a hoof trimmer.

During his career, Boyce served as president and past president of the Georgia Holstein Association. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, served on the board of the Georgia Milk Producers, was a member of the National Dairy Shrine Club, judged cattle and worked as an independent auctioneer after graduating from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Boyce; children Chad Boyce (Jessica), Emily Boyce Lewis (Ethan) and Crissey NeeSmith (Paul); grandchildren Jackson, Henry, Molly and Samuel Boyce, and Gage Layfield.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Boyce; siblings Bill Boyce and Jennie Fowler; and nephews Scott Boyce and Morgan Mizelle.

The family received friends Friday, July 24, from 10 a.m. until noon at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service was held at noon in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
