Christopher Raymond “Chris” Knight of Union Point, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at his residence.
He was 35.
Chris was born in Greensboro, GA, on December 13, 1988, to Raymond Edward Knight (Shonda) of Stephens, GA, and Sharon Sellers Channell (Leighton) of Greensboro.
Chris was a lifelong resident of Greene County and attended Greene County High School. His favorite activities were fishing, hunting, and finding unusual rocks. He was employed as a machine operator for Jerico Plastics Industries, Inc. in Greensboro.
Survivors include his mother, Sharon Channell, and her husband, Leighton, and his father, Raymond Knight, and his wife, Shonda. He is also survived by his sons, Justin and Jacob Knight, Union Point, GA; significant other, Tiffany Romero, Union Point, GA; sister, Candace Nation (Derrick), Greensboro, GA; grandfather, Jimmy Sellers, Eatonton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will hold a celebration of Chris’s life on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, 203 South Main Street, Greensboro, GA 30642. Rev. Jon Herrington and Rev. Mark Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church.
Internment will follow the service at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery, 2830 GA-15, Greensboro, GA 30642. McCommons Funeral Home, 109 W.
