Anne Minix Masemann, Sr., age 92, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Born in Milan, Georgia, on September 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Emory E. Minix and Juanita Thomas Minix.
Anne was a graduate of Moultrie High School and attended West Georgia College and the University of Georgia.
In 1961, she married Richard Masemann at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
Together, they owned and operated The German Bakery in DeKalb County for 39 years, building a respected business that drew customers from across the Atlanta area.
Anne and Richard retired in late 1999 and moved to Destin, Florida. They later returned to Atlanta, where Richard passed away in December 2006. Anne moved to Greensboro nine years ago to be closer to her family.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Greensboro, as well as the Georgia Writers’ Guild and the Daughters of the King, Hope Chapter FHS.
Her children survive her: Edward Richard Rowe of Cumming, GA; Randall Allison Rowe of Sandersville, GA; Alisa Joan Rowe of Atlanta, GA; and Richard August Masemann Jr. of Alpharetta, GA; as well as eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her brother, Donald Thomas Minix.
Her daughter, Donna Lynn Rowe Hart, preceded her in death.
Her family shared that she loved listening to Elton John and often found comfort in the lyric, “I thank the Lord for the people I have found.” They remember her as a beautiful soul with a deep love for life, family, friends, and her faith, and especially for her laughter, which always brought a smile.
She was 92 and lived a full life.
