Richard Glenn Wolfe

Richard “Dick” Glenn Wolfe of Greensboro, Georgia passed away on April 28, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA at the age of 87.

He was born October 29, 1937, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Alice Louella Householder and Harry Glenn Wolfe of Homer City, PA.

He graduated from Grove City College, Grove City, PA, with a degree in mathematics. He worked for Owens-Brockway Glass Containers Company as an Account Manager in Pennsylvania and Georgia until he retired in 1989, after which he became an investment day-trader.

Richard married Sandra “Sandy,” whom he met at Grove City College, on November 8, 1958.

After moving to Georgia, Sandy worked for the Department of Business Education in the DeKalb County, Georgia school system until 1997. They joined Walker United Methodist Church in 1998 and sang with the Praise Team from then to the present day. Richard was a devoted husband and father, as well as an avid hunter, farmer, golfer, baseball player, and tennis player.

Richard is survived by Sandy, his beautiful wife of 66 years; sister Marilyn Wolfe Louttit; brother- in-law Dean Harvey; brother-in-law Max Dick, Jr.; sons Jon (Maria) and Douglas; three grandchildren: Kristin, Lauren (Matthew) Bowerman, and Ryan; two great grandchildren: Charlotte (2 years) and James (3 months) Bowerman; and nieces and nephews: Amy Louttit (Rob) Forte, Brian (Juli) Louttit, Eric (Cathy) Louttit, Gregory (Jody) Harvey, and Timothy Harvey.
