MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT

A warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Kabria Nicole Humphries, 24, of Madison on an aggravated assault charge from an incident that occurred in the parking lot in front of Dollar Tree on Eatonton Road. According to the report, Humphries struck a female with a glass bottle following an altercation in which both females spit on each other.

A Madison police officer met with a local man at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office on March 9 in reference to a possible simple battery complaint. Charges are pending a review of video evidence.

A Madison police officer was dispatched to the TA Truck Stop on Eatonton Road in reference to a stolen tire. Security camera footage confirmed the theft.

GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

On March 8, deputies arrested Michael Wayne Birdwell, 3612 South Pindea Street, Jacksonville, Texas, for failure to appear.

On March 10, deputies arrested Lee Anthony Chambers, Jr., 1050 Oconee Ave., Greensboro, for obstruction and possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce).

On March 6, deputies arrested Christopher Morgan Foster, 7409 Earlwood Road, Fairfield, Alabama, for following too closely and DUI.

On March 7, deputies arrested Quentin Felando Hosch, 2711 Winky Bluff, Decatur, for probation violation.

On March 6, deputies arrested Roykin Anthony Jones, 1220 Bethel Road, Crawfordville on two counts of simple battery.

On March 10, deputies arrested Michael Ervin Nunn, 2731 Temperance Bell Rd., Union Point, for simple battery.

On March 8, 2023, Deputies arrested Amy Lee Pease, no known address, for failure to appear.

On March 10, deputies arrested Lance Omar Robbins, 101 West 4th Street, Greensboro, for public indecency and possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce).

On March 10, Deputies arrested Miguel Rosario, 925 Hephzibah Road, Hephzibah, for failure to maintain lane and DUI.

On March 9, deputies arrested Amanda Leann Simpson, 1450 Indian Woods Drive, Greensboro, for failure to appear.

On March 12, deputies arrested Keirsten Posey Wilson, 3382 Brown Chapel Road, Sparta, for an excessive window tint violation, DUI and driving while license suspended.

GREENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT

On Sunday, Feb. 26, officers responded to Citgo located on East Broad Street in reference to a theft by shoplifting. The complainant stated that an individual put multiple cans of sardines in his pants and walked out of the store. The individual was identified via video surveillance.

A warrant for theft by shoplifting was issued for Will Ingram Sr., 56, of Greensboro.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, officers responded to the area of Oconee Avenue in reference to an unresponsive person. The incident was turned over to Greene County EMS.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, officers responded to the area of South Spring Street in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant stated that she needed to get the rest of her belongings off of the property. Both parties agreed to separate, and the complainant left the property. There was no further incident.

On Sunday, Feb. 26, officers responded to the area of Allen Circle in reference to damage to property complaint. The complainant stated that her friend began breaking out windows in the residence and threatening to kill the occupants in the house.

With help from Greene County deputies, Calin Manzarek Jackson, 27, of Greensboro was arrested on charges of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property and two counts of terroristic threats.

On Monday, Feb. 27, officers responded to the Dollar General located on Willow Run Road in reference to a theft by-taking complaint. The complainant stated that she left her cell phone on the counter and stepped outside. When she returned the phone was gone. Two hours later the complainant made contact with officers to say that she found the phone at her residence.

On Monday, Feb. 27, while patrolling the area of South East Street, officers observed an individual with an active warrant for arrest. Officers made contact with Will Ingram, 56, of Greensboro, and he was arrested on a warrant for theft by shoplifting.

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, officers responded to the area of Rachel Street in reference to a criminal trespassing and theft complaint. The complainant stated that a trailer that was kept on another property was stolen, and a window was broken out of the residence. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, while patrolling the area of MLK Jr. Drive, officers observed a vehicle in violation of a tag light requirement. Officers initiated a traffic stop and later arrested Eugene Green, 57, of Greensboro on charges of failure to meet tag light requirements and driving while their license was suspended. On Tuesday, Feb. 28, officers responded to the area of Adrian Circle in reference to a domestic dispute between family members. All parties agreed to separate to avoid any further disruption. There was no further incident.

On Tuesday, Feb. 28, officers responded to the Dollar General located on Willow Run Road in reference to a criminal trespassing complaint. The complainant stated that an individual who was identified as Brittany Poole, 51, of Rachel Street had picked up items and placed them in her purse and then put them back. The store manager requested a criminal trespassing warning. Poole was not in the area at the time of the report.

On Wednesday, March 1, officers responded to McDonald’s located on South Main Street in reference to a harassment complaint. The complainant stated that her daughter was being harassed by the manager and the manager’s husband making inappropriate remarks to her daughter. The complainant was advised of the TPO process. About an hour later, officers were dispatched back to McDonald’s in reference to a criminal trespassing complaint. The manager on duty stated that an individual, who was identified as Kente Jermaine Gresham, 44, of Greensboro came into the store inquiring about the incident that happened earlier. Gresham was informed that the incident did not happen during the current shift. The complainant requested a criminal trespassing warning for Gresham. Officers made contact with Gresham at his residence and informed him that he was barred from the property of Mcdonald's for six months. There was no further incident.

On Thursday, March 2, officers responded to the Holiday Lodge located on Old Eatonton Road in reference to a physical domestic dispute. The complainant stated that her child’s father attacked her in the parking lot. After further investigation, Justin Allen Cummings, 21, of Sparta was arrested on charges of cruelty to children and two counts of battery under the family violence statute.

On Thursday, March 2, officers responded to the Green Garden Inn located on West Broad Street in reference to a criminal damage to property complaint. The complainant stated that a tenant caused damages to a room and a report was needed. The tenant stated that his son caused the damage after he told him the police were looking for him. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Thursday, March 2, officers responded to the area of East South Street in reference to a civil matter involving child custody. The complainant was advised that the matter would need to be handled in court.

On Friday, March 3, officers responded to the area of Fox Chase Circle in reference to an unresponsive person. The scene was turned over to Greene County EMS.

On Friday, March 3, officers met with a complainant at GPD in reference to a Facebook scam. The complainant stated that they sent money to an individual to purchase Nigerian Dwarf & Pygmy goats ($930). The complainant lives in Easley, South Carolina, and states the individual told him that they lived in Greensboro and officers confirmed that there was no one at the address using by the name of “Kao Smith.” The complainant also stated that they were to meet in Commerce to pick up the goats, but they did not show up. The complainant was informed that he would need to make a report in his city of residence and advised not to send money to anyone through Facebook.

On Saturday, March 4, officers responded to the Golden Pantry located on East Broad Street about a private property accident. The driver stated that he misjudged his turn and side-swiped another vehicle.

On Saturday, March 4, officers responded to Burger King located on Hospitality Drive about a disorderly customer. The complainant stated that a customer came into the store angry demanding money back and throwing food at an employee. Officers made contact with the customer, who stated he only wanted his money back because the food was cold, and he waited too long in line. After reviewing surveillance, the officer saw no food being thrown or the customer being aggressive toward the employee. The customer was issued a refund there was no further incident.

On Saturday, March 4, while patrolling the area of MLK Jr. Drive, officers observed a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. The driver was identified as Brittany Poole, 51, of Greensboro and she was issued citations for no insurance, failure to maintain lane, and driving with invalid registration.

On Saturday, March 4, while patrolling the area of Planning Mill Road, officers observed a vehicle fail to maintain a lane. Officers initiated a traffic stop and later arrested Andrea Denise Weaver, 52, of Greensboro on charges of failure to maintain lane, no insurance, suspended registration, and DUI (alcohol).

On Saturday, March 4, while patrolling the area of West Broad Street, officers observed a vehicle in violation of a tag light requirement. Officers initiated a traffic stop and later arrested Avivael Sales Lopez, 24, of Greensboro on charges of violation of a tag light requirements and driving without a license.

On Saturday, March 4, officers responded to the Dollar General located on Willow Run Road about a criminal trespassing complaint. The complainant stated that a customer cursed her out as he left the store. The individual, who was identified as Porter Maurice Lawrence, 36, of Greensboro was not in the area at the time of the report.

On Sunday, March 5, while patrolling the area of Oconee Avenue, officers observed a bow & arrow set in the roadway near C. Weldon Smith Drive. The item was placed in evidence for safekeeping.

On Sunday, March 5, while patrolling the area of MLK Jr. Drive, officers observed a vehicle in violation of a tag light requirement. Officers initiated a traffic stop and later arrested Willie Marquis Edwards, 34, of Greensboro on charges of open container, violation of tag light requirements, and DUI (alcohol).

On Sunday, March 5, officers responded to the Greene Garden Inn about a criminal trespassing complaint. The complainant stated that an individual, who was identified as Wilkey Bernard Hardin, 44, of Greensboro was hanging out by the dumpster and going from room to room. Officers made contact with Hardin and advised him that he needed to leave the premises. E911 confirmed that he was previously banned in July 2022. Hardin was then arrested on the charge of criminal trespassing.

On Monday, March 6, officers responded to the area of Rachel Street about a civil dispute. The complainant stated that his son took a red tool bag containing tools valued at $800 without his permission. Officers made contact with the son, Demondra Pope, 32, of Greensboro who stated that the tools belong to him and that his father was upset because he confronted him about the rental of a U-Haul in his name without his permission. Both parties were advised to handle the issue in Magistrate Court.

On Tuesday, March 7, officers responded to the area of Canaan Circle about an aggravated assault complaint. The complainant stated that he was over at a friend’s house drinking when an argument ensued, and he was hit in the arm with a shovel. The complainant stated that he received treatment at the hospital when he was told his arm was broken. Officers made contact with the friend who stated that they were drinking when the complainant started cussing and being aggressive with him in front of his grandkids. He stated that he asked the complainant several times to leave and then he came at him aggressively attempting to fight him. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Tuesday, March 7, officers responded to the MLK Market located on MLK Jr. Drive about an unwanted person in the store. The complainant stated that an individual who was identified as Aereon Wilbon of Greensboro would come in and attempt to steal items. Officers made contact with Wilbon and advised him that he is criminally trespassed from the property.

On Tuesday, March 7, officers responded to the area of North East Street in reference to a civil matter. The complainant stated that his girlfriend sold his vehicle without his permission. The complainant was advised that the matter would need to be handled in Magistrate Court.

On Tuesday, March 7, officers responded to Chester Apartments about a fight in progress. The complainant stated that her mother was attacked by a co-worker who came to their residence to confront her. The victim stated that she pulled her hair and began choking her with a strap from her lunch box. The coworker stated that the complainant made remarks about her and her unborn child. After further investigation, Neydi Aguilar Matias, 18, of Greensboro was arrested on the charge of simple battery.

On Wednesday, March 8, officers met with a complainant at GPD about a theft/mislaid property. The complainant stated that she misplaced her wallet. The complainant was advised to cancel her credit/debit cards.

On Wednesday, March 8, officers made contact with an individual with an active warrant for arrest. Officers confirmed the warrant, and Ricardo Inostrosa Hernandez, 36, of Greensboro was arrested and served his warrant out of Putnam County.

On Thursday, March 9, while patrolling the area of West Broad Street, officers observed a vehicle with its headlights off after sunset. Officers initiated traffic and later arrested Salvador Castillo Jacinto, 33, of Gainesville on the charges of no headlights on and driving without a license.

On Thursday, March 9, officers met with a complainant at GPD about damage to a vehicle complaint. The complainant stated that her vehicle was damaged while parked at Golden Pantry.

On Friday, March 10, officers met with a complainant at GPD about damage to a vehicle complaint. The complainant stated that her vehicle was damaged while parked at Ingles.

On Friday, March 10, officers responded to the Jimmy Britt dealership located on Town Creek Blvd. about a hit-and-run complaint.

The complainant stated that a vehicle backed into a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse and left. The tag came back as “not on file” in GCIC. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Saturday, March 11, officers responded to the area of West 4th Street about theft by taking a complaint. The complainant stated that two jewelry boxes were stolen from the residence. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Saturday, March 11, officers spoke with an individual via telephone about a complaint of a vehicle backing up in the roadway. The complainant stated that she went around the vehicle, and they followed her home. The complainant was advised that the incident happened within the county, and she would need to report it to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

For the period of Feb. 26 through March 11, the Greensboro Police Department responded to five accidents, and 89 citations were issued.
