MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Two Morgan County deputies were dispatched to a Broughton Trail address on Feb. 8 regarding the possible theft of animals. The complainant said she helped take care of four water buffaloes, two cows, and one Asian tortoise that belonged to another individual and lived on the property. The animals were last seen on the property on Feb. 6 and the complainant noticed the animals still seemed to be missing on Feb. 8. According to the report, the gate to the pasture had been damaged and there were new tire tracks nearby. The same tracks were present at the barn in the pasture.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a South Trace address on Feb. 8 regarding harassing text messages. The complainant said he had been made aware of threatening text messages directed toward his sons that had been forwarded to him. According to the report, the sons told the father that the man who sent the texts showed up at the residence in a car along with three other people. A firearm was allegedly on the center console of the car.
Rodney Wright. was arrested on Feb. 9 on a warrant for failure to appear issued by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
A Morgan County deputy met with a subject at a Bostwick Road address on Feb. 9 in reference to the theft of documents. The complainant said someone had stolen to titles to several vehicles that had belonged to her recently deceased husband.
Amber King, 38, of Madison was arrested on Feb. 10 and charged with speeding, fleeing, or attempting to elude a police officer, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce), and possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance.
A Morgan County deputy initiated a traffic stop on Feb. 10 that resulted in the case being turned over to MCSO investigations.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Monticello Road address on Feb. 10 regarding a theft. The complainant said a trailer valued at $3,800 was stolen from his property.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Sewell Road address on Feb. 11 in reference to an unruly juvenile.
A Morgan County deputy established a safety checkpoint approved by Captain Brandon Sellers on Aqua Road at Indian Creek Road on Feb. 10. Five warnings and two citations were issued.
Denzel R. Williams, 30, of Charleston, South Carolina, was arrested on Feb. 12 and charged with a seat belt violation, open container, driving less than the minimum speed limit, and driving while his license was suspended.
MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT
A Madison police officer met with a local couple on Feb. 7 in reference to a forgery complaint. The complainants said someone stole two blank checks from their vehicle. Their bank notified them that someone called Ahmad Shah Ahmad Kabir deposited one of the checks written out for $3,000 in his account. A copy of the forged check was given to the officer, and the case was turned over to CID.
Lauren Hannah Each, 33, of Lakewood, California, was arrested on Feb. 7 and charged with possession of amphetamines following a drug test ordered by a judge due to Each’s behavior in court. According to reports, Each told a police officer she had given birth to a child in the woods the day before and claimed to be a drug mule. She also said she had died multiple times but was still alive.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Penor Street address on Feb. 8 in reference to a theft of money. The complainant said two females came into her residence at around 3 a.m. and stole $1,720 in cash.
A local businessman reported to police that counterfeit checks written on his business account were being delivered by UPS. The persons receiving the checks were instructed by an unknown suspect to deposit the checks and send a portion of the money to another person’s account. The businessman has instructed his bank to close the account.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Commerce Street address on Feb. 12 in reference to a property damage report. The complainant said her mailbox and a mailbox belonging to her neighbor had been damaged.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to the Harbor Freight parking lot in reference to a stolen tag. The complainant said the tag was actually stolen while the tractor-trailer was parked at the Pilot truck stop.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Tiffany Michelle Duvall, 40, on charges of theft by shoplifting, fraudulent use of a sales receipt, and theft by deception. According to the report, Duvall has stolen. $1,600 worth of merchandise from Walmart. Walmart also wants Duvall trespassed from the store.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Hough Circle address on Feb. 12 in reference to a stolen vehicle. The complainant said her vehicle had been stolen while it was parked on Gilmore Street on Feb. 11. According to the report, the vehicle had been involved in a crash at approximately 11:45 p.m. Feb. 11, and a group of Black males ran from the car after it crashed.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to an N. Main Street address, on Feb. 10 in reference to a fight. The complainant said a neighbor punched him in the face. The other man involved in the altercation said he had been provoked but denied ever hitting the individual.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue address on Feb. 7 in reference to a burglary. The complainant said when he came to check on his rental home, he found the back door kicked in and several items missing, including a cast iron stove, a refrigerator, a water heater, and a hand truck.
Christopher B. Cooper, 38, of Madison was arrested on Feb. 9 and charged with violating the hands-free law (texting and driving) and possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce).
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Walmart on Feb. 12 in reference to counterfeit money. A Walmart employee said three individuals used counterfeit currency to pay for items. A Black male purchased $199.31 using a counterfeit $100 bill and a counterfeit $50 bill. A Black female used four counterfeit $50 bills and a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for $212.11 worth of merchandise. A bald Black male used a counterfeit $100 bill and a counterfeit $50 bill to purchase $150 worth of merchandise.

On Feb. 10, deputies arrested Almeta Crissa Ash, 1460 Bowden Pond Road, Greensboro, GA, for simple battery.
On Feb. 8, deputies arrested Robert LaTroy Briscoe, 1030 Summer Hill Road, Union Point, for public intoxication.
On Feb. 12, deputies arrested Darius O’Brian Brown, 3031 Union Point Hwy., Greensboro, for simple battery.
On Feb. 9, deputies arrested Daniel Alejandro Gonzalez, 1160 Hammond Drive, Apt. No. 107, Atlanta, for driving while license suspended and no insurance.
On Feb. 6, deputies arrested Ramon Deandrea Humphrey, 385 Parks Mill Road, Buckhead, for failure to maintain lane and DUI.
On Feb. 9, deputies arrested Sylvia Diane Oliver, 1181 Spring Station Rd., Greensboro, for simple battery.
On Feb. 12, deputies arrested Eric Darel Reed, 3507 Robins Landing Way, Apt. No. 1, Decatur, for the operation of a vehicle without revalidation decal, no insurance, and driving while license suspended.
On Feb. 6, deputies arrested Alexandrea E.Sencindiver, 108 Trojan Circle NE, Milledgeville, for registration and license requirements, no insurance, and driving while license suspended.
On Feb. 7, deputies arrested Q’nesia Walker, 406 West Richland Ave., Greensboro, for aggravated stalking. On Feb. 7 deputies arrested Kelly Alicia White, 208 Wotton Ave., Union Point, on a probation violation.
GREENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
On, Sunday, Feb. 5, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a tint violation in the area of East Broad Street. After further investigation, Abel Gomez Lopez, 20, of Greensboro was arrested on charges of a tint violation and driving without license.
On Sunday, Feb.5, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in violation of failure to maintain a lane in the area of Oconee Avenue. The vehicle came to a stop on Old Eatonton Road and pulled off again traveling at a low rate of speed onto Oconee Avenue and North Laurel Avenue. Deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the stop by attempting to lay spike strips in the path of the driver. The driver was able to avoid the spike strips by turning onto East Broad Street and eventually stopping at a residence on Pinecrest Street. The driver was placed into custody and was identified as Shaina Nicole Alexander, 24, of Greensboro. A passenger was also detained and later released. Alexander was arrested on charges of failure to maintain lane, suspended registration and fleeing/attempting to elude law enforcement.
On Sunday, Feb. 5, officers responded to the area of Apalachee Avenue in reference to a theft by taking a complaint. The complainant stated that two individuals came onto his property and stole a pressure washer. The two individuals were identified on surveillance and arrested. The two juveniles were referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice, and a case worker advised officers to release them to their parents and issue a criminal trespassing warning for the property of 1200 Apalachee Avenue, Greensboro.
On Monday, Feb. 6, officers responded to the Green Garden Inn located on West Broad Street in reference to a civil complaint. The complainant stated that the owner of the property threatened to kill her dog. The owner stated that she asked the tenant to vacate the premises by check-out time. The complainant could not provide proof of the threats. The complainant also wanted to report damages to her vehicle while on the property.
On Monday, Feb. 6, officers received damage to property complaint via telephone. The complainant stated his vehicle was damaged traveling on West Broad Street. The vehicle made contact with a parked tractor-trailer. The complainant was advised that a report would be ready in three to five business days.
On Tuesday, Feb. 7, officers responded to the area of Horton Drive in reference to damage to property complaint. The complainant stated that he struck an unattended vehicle with the lift arms on the trash pickup truck.
On Tuesday, Feb. 7, officers responded to the area of East First Street in reference to a house fire. All occupants were out and safe, the scene was turned over to Greensboro Fire Department.
On Tuesday, Feb. 7, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in violation of a tagging requirement. After further investigation, the driver, Kristi Kitchens, 44, of Milledgeville was cited for no proof of insurance and suspended registration.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, officers responded to the area of East Broad Street in reference to a vehicle striking a cable line. The driver was advised that the report would be completed within three to five business days.
On Friday, Feb. 10, officers responded to the area of East Green Street in reference to a theft of a motor vehicle and concrete machine. The complainant stated that his vehicle and equipment were stolen from the residence between 4 and 7 a.m. The VIN number was entered into GCIC, the incident was turned over to investigators.
On Saturday, Feb. 11, officers responded to the area of South Main Street in reference to a disorderly guest. The complainant stated that he wanted the guest escorted off of the property. The guest, who was identified as Ryan Oliver Glenn, 42, of Atlanta, stated that the property owner was talking to him in an unprofessional manner, so he then started arguing back with him. After further investigation, Glenn was arrested on warrants from Putnam and Fulton counties.
On Saturday, Feb. 11, officers responded to the area of Apalachee Avenue in reference to a theft by taking a complaint. The complainant stated that she received a call from the Golden Pantry located on East Broad Street who told her someone attempted to use her ID to purchase cigarettes. Officers made contact with the individual who stated that she grabbed her wallet by mistake. The complainant stated that she did not want to press charges, and she wanted her personal belongings back. There was no further incident.
On Saturday, Feb. 11, officers responded to the Family Dollar located on North Main Street in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant stated that an individual came into the store to load a card with $400. The complainant also explained that there was a $3.95 charge to load the card. The customer paid $403.95 and left the store. The complainant stated that a female came back into the store and began yelling and telling her that an additional charge of $14 was on the card. The complainant stated that she tried to tell her that she may have had another charge on the card but not from Family Dollar. The individuals were not in the area at the time of the report.
For the week of February 5-11, the Greensboro Police Department responded to two accidents, and 21 citations were issued.
