MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Godfrey Road address on Jan. 19 in reference to a fight. Due to inconsistencies in statements given by participants at the scene, no warrants have been filed. Two people involved were advised of the TPO process.

A Morgan County deputy met with a woman at the Public Safety Complex on Jan. 19 in reference to alleged fraud. The complainant said she noticed fraudulent charges totaling $21,000 on her bank statement.

Caleb Eugene Sheridan, 23, of Rutledge was arrested on Jan. 19 on three outstanding felony warrants.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Mallard Ridge Road address on Jan. 19 in reference to a theft that occurred. The complainant said someone broke into this Dodge Ram 2500 and stole a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun valued at $600.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to Chivers Road address in Buckhead in reference to a verbal domestic incident. No charges were filed against any of the people involved in the altercation.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to Seven Islands Road on Jan. 20 address in reference to a child custody issue. Another deputy was dispatched to the Valero station on Newborn Road in reference to another child custody dispute that same day.

Lawrence Lee Harris, 56, of Thomson was arrested on Jan. 20 and charged with DUI and open container.

A warrant for the arrest of Douglas Callaway Smith on charges of simple battery under the family violence statute was applied for on Jan. 20.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Sandy Creek Road address on Jan. 21 in reference to a disturbance during the repossession attempt of a vehicle. Repossession agents were on the scene to repossess a vehicle due to non-payment, and the resident was concerned the tow truck might cause damage to a water pipe in her yard.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to an Aqua Road address on Jan. 21 in reference to a male subject causing a disturbance. After speaking with the deputy, the male stated he would go to his bedroom and stop causing a disturbance.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Doster Road address on Jan. 22 in reference to a family violence act between two juveniles.

Rachael Marie Levanway, 34, of Covington was arrested on Jan. 22 on a warrant filed by the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office on the charge of theft by taking.

A Morgan County deputy met with a local resident at the Public Safety Complex on Jan. 22 regarding threats. The complainant said a man had threatened her after she complained to him that he took advantage of a relative of hers on a deal to purchase a car. She was advised of the TPO process.

A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Sugar Creek Road address on Jan. 12 regarding storm damage to a vehicle. The complainant said high winds caused a large limb to fall on her vehicle, causing damage to the roof, windows and sides. The vehicle was not occupied at the time of the incident.

A Morgan County deputy met with a local resident at the Public Safety Complex on Jan. 23 regarding a theft. The case is under investigation.

Alexandra Michelle Stewart, 27, was arrested on Jan. 23 and charged with driving while her license was suspended. The deputy making the arrest received a FLOCK hit on his C.A.D. unit that a white Jeep had been involved in a hit-and-run accident on Jan. 11 and a warrant had been taken out for the arrest of the driver, according to the report.

MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT

A Madison police officer was dispatched to an Academy Street address on Jan. 18 in reference to a tree falling on a car. According to the report, someone was hired to cut down a tree at the address so that the tree would fall opposite a neighbor’s property. Unfortunately, the tree fell in the other direction and damaged a fence, and the visitor’s car parked on the neighbor’s property. The parties were advised that the incident is a civil matter and to contact insurance companies.

A Madison police officer was dispatched to the Goodwill Store on Eatonton Road on Jan. 7 in reference to an employee taking pictures of debit cards belonging to his coworkers. The complainant said 17-year-old Armani Huff was taking purses out of employee lockers, taking them into the break room, and taking photos. The incident was caught on security cameras and a warrant was taken out for Huff.

Anfernee Diego Waller, 27, of Madison was arrested on Jan. 16 and charged with theft by shoplifting and giving a false name, address, or date of birth to a police officer. According to the report, Waller also had multiple warrants out of Morgan County.

A Madison police officer was flagged down by a local resident on Jan. 20 regarding a theft. The complainant said someone stole prescription medicine from his car which was parked at his mother’s residence on Sulgrave Drive.

GREENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT

On Sunday, Jan. 15, officers responded to the area of North West Street in reference to a verbal dispute. Both parties were separated to avoid any further conflict.

On Monday, Jan. 16, officers responded to the area of North West Street in reference to a physical domestic dispute. After further investigation, officers arrested Jartavious Martez Lewis, 22, of Union Point on the charge of family violence simple battery. Lewis was also served a warrant out of Morgan County for failure to appear.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, officers responded to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an identity fraud complaint. The complainant stated that someone used his personal information to get a Direct TV account and now the account is in collections. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Tuesday, Jan. 17, officers responded to the area of Adrian Circle in reference to a verbal dispute. The complainant stated that there was an argument between her and her boyfriend because he does not want to help pay the bills. Officers spoke with the boyfriend who stated that he wanted her out of the residence. Both parties were advised of the eviction process.

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, officers responded to the area of Spring Street in reference to a theft by taking a motor vehicle. The complainant stated that a 2017 Chevy Camaro was taken from the yard. The vehicle was entered into GCIC and the incident was turned over to investigators.

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, officers responded to the area of South Main Street in reference to damage to property complaint. The complainant stated that a truck damaged a retaining wall. The complainant was advised to find the video surveillance of the truck and contact investigators.

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, officers responded to the area of Canaan Circle in reference to an individual who wanted to turn herself in. Officers made contact with Sirena Michelle Rich, 54, of Greensboro, and warrants for her arrest were confirmed through Greene County E911. Rich was arrested for financial card transaction theft and probation violation.

On Wednesday, Jan. 18, officers met with an individual at GPD in reference to a suspicious note left in a vehicle. The complainant stated that someone left the note stating that they had been watching and wanted to pay a bill if she would start seeing him/her. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Thursday, Jan. 19, while patrolling the area of Memorial Drive, officers observed a vehicle with a tail light violation. Officers initiated a traffic stop and later arrested Robert Tilden Pope, 61, of Greensboro on charges of driving while his license was suspended and a violation of the taillight requirement.

On Friday, Jan. 20, officers responded to the Dollar General located on Willow Run Road in reference to a theft by taking a complaint. The complainant stated that a former employee entered the store and took items without paying for them. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Friday, Jan. 20, while patrolling the area of East Broad Street, officers observed an individual with active warrants for arrest. Officers confirmed the warrants with Greene County E911 and arrested Kerri Ann Roberts, 53, of Greensboro.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, officers responded to the area of North Main Street in reference to vandalism of a place of worship. The complainant stated that someone spray-painted “gang letters” on the outside wall of the building. The incident was turned over to investigators.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, officers responded to the area of West Green Street in reference to a damage to vehicle complaint. The complainant stated that a tree fell on a bus in her yard.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, officers made contact with a Greene County deputy on a traffic stop in reference to an incident that occurred within the city limits. Officers made contact with the individuals involved, including Tionnie Symone Hutchinson, 22, of Greensboro, and her mother Angela Raynelle Hutchinson, 42, of Greensboro. After further investigation, both were issued criminal trespassing warnings for the property of 1030 Adrian Circle, Greensboro.

For the week of Jan. 15-21, the Greensboro Police Department responded to two accidents, and 22 citations were issued.

GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

On Jan. 21, deputies arrested Tommy Lee Evans, 203 West First Street, Greensboro, for criminal trespass, cruelty to children, false imprisonment, simple battery, and two counts of terroristic threats and acts.

On Jan. 18, deputies arrested Tu’neique Adaeunne Hurst, 1201 Armour Circle, Greensboro, for obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers. On Jan. 20, deputies arrested Keyara Shanta Redd, 1460 Bowden Pond Road, Greensboro, for driving while her license was suspended.

On Jan. 17, deputies arrested Michael Rider, 2104 Haystack Way, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for driving while license suspended, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

On Jan. 22, deputies arrested Donovan E. Robinson, 2518 Mayhon Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for failure to maintain lane, driving while license suspended, and failure to meet duty upon striking a fixed object.

On Jan. 22, deputies arrested Jackson Billy Sells, 2431 Moores Ford Road, Buford, for impeding traffic flow, driving while license suspended, and DUI.
