Harold Samuel Boyce

Harold Samuel Boyce, 75 of Buckhead, passed away on July 20, 2026. Mr. Boyce was the son of the late Hugh and Henrietta Boyce. He was born in Augusta on June 9, 2026. Harold grew up in Blythe, GA and joined the family’s dairy operation after high school. He was married to Beverly Newberry. In 1984, they moved to Morgan County and began their own dairy, Ha-Bo Holsteins. In 1987, Harold was voted Young Dairyman of the Year. He operated the dairy until 1997 when Harold began his business as a full-time hoof trimmer. During his career, Harold served as President and Past President of the Georgia Holstein Association. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and also a board member of the Georgia Milk Producers and member of the National Dairy Shrine Club. Harold would also judge cattle and was an independent auctioneer, having graduated from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering.

Harold Boyce is survived by his wife, Beverly and their children, Chad Boyce (Jessica), Emily Boyce Lewis (Ethan) and Crissey NeeSmith (Paul). He leaves his grandchildren, Jackson, Henry, Molly and Samuel Boyce and Gage Layfield. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Boyce and his siblings, Bill Boyce and Jennie Fowler. He was also preceded in death by two nephews, Scott Boyce and Morgan Mizelle.

The family received friends on Friday, July 24 from 10 AM until Noon at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service was held in the chapel at Noon. Graveside services followed at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
