GREENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
On Sunday, June 26, while patrolling the area of Oconee Avenue, officers observed a vehicle in violation of a tag light requirement. After further investigation, the driver, Lance Omar Robbins of Greensboro was found to have a license suspension due to child support obligations but had not been served. Officers issued an official Notice of Suspension. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.
On Sunday, June 26, while patrolling the area of Grimes Street, officers observed an individual at a residence with an active warrant for arrest. Officers made contact with Will Ingram Jr., 26, of Athens, Ingram was arrested and transported to the Greene County LEC where he was served his warrant for statutory rape.
On Sunday, June 26 while patrolling the area of Oconee Avenue, officers observed a vehicle in violation of a taillight requirement. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the driver, Audel DeLeon Castillo, 49, of Milledgeville was arrested on charges of a taillight requirement and driving while unlicensed.
On Sunday, June 26, officers responded to the area of Oconee Avenue in reference to a person acting erratically and damaging property. The complainant stated that her son began breaking out windows after she attempted to administer him his medication. The complainant’s son was identified as Austin Rush, 17, of Greensboro GA. The complainant stated that she locked him inside the residence and called 911 to protect herself. Rush continued to throw a metal can at a window causing the window to bust. Rush then threw a broken plate throw the window hitting an officer on the leg causing a small abrasion. Officers entered the residence and apprehended Rush who was charged with second-degree criminal damage to property and simple assault.
On Monday, June 27, while patrolling the area of Apalachee Avenue, officers observed an individual with an active warrant for arrest. Officers made contact with Frederick Bernard Grimes, 43, of Greensboro who was arrested and served his warrant out of Greensboro.
On Tuesday, June 28, officers responded to the area of Rachel Street in reference to a physical domestic dispute. Officers met with the complainant who stated that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. After further investigation, Patrick Broadus, 32, of Greensboro was issued a warrant for simple battery under the family violence statue.

On Tuesday, June 28, officers responded to the Greene Garden Inn on West Broad Street in reference to a criminal trespassing complaint. Deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office arrested Roderick Deon Johnson, 41, of Greensboro on the charge of criminal trespassing. Due to being on the property at the time of arrest by another agency, GPD Officers issued a warrant for criminal trespass for the property of Greene Garden Inn.
On Tuesday, June 28, officers responded to the area of Sycamore Street, Greensboro GA in reference to a criminal trespassing complaint. The complainant stated that the father of her children came to her residence to discuss seeing their children. The father then became irate and began slashing the tires on her vehicle. The father, identified as Derrick Conrad Hunter, 38, of Greensboro was arrested on the charge of criminal trespassing under the family violence statue. Hunter was also found to have an active warrant for arrest for second-degree criminal damage to property. A warrant was later issued for criminal trespassing under the family violence statue. Hunter was served at the Greene County LEC.
On Wednesday, June 29, officers arrested Coureyon Ty’Javious Woods, 20, of Greensboro on a warrant for probation violation.
On Thursday, June 30, officers met with an individual at GPD in reference to a lost/mislaid property. The complainant stated that she lost her Rolex watch in Wendy’s located on South Main Street. The watch was valued at $14,000. The incident was turned over to investigators.
On Thursday, June 30, officers responded to the area of West Richland Avenue in reference to a theft by deception complaint. The complainant stated that a friend messaged her on Facebook to purchase a Yorkie puppy for $300. The complainant stated that she sent the Facebook friend $150 and attempted to meet her in Loganville to pay the rest in cash and to pick up the puppy. The complainant stated that the friend blocked her on Facebook. After traveling to Loganville, she found that her friend's page had been hacked. The incident was turned over to investigators.
On Thursday, June 30, while patrolling the area of West Broad Street, officers observed a vehicle in violation of a headlight requirement. Officers initiated a traffic stop, and the driver, identified as Nakente Kenyon Sneed, 33, of Sparta was arrested on the charges of headlight requirement, no insurance and driving while license suspended.
On Friday, July 1, while conducting a safety check in the area of East Broad Street, officers observed a driver not wearing a seatbelt. After further investigation, the driver, Jose Ortiz, 32, of Greensboro was arrested on charges of a seatbelt violation and driving without a license.
On Friday, July 1, officers responded to the area of North Laurel Avenue in reference to an assault complaint. The complainant stated that she attempted to take an individual home and the individual became irate and threw ice in her face causing small scrapes on her skin. After further investigation, officers arrested Jaimey Leigh May, 25, of Greensboro on the charge of simple battery. May was also issued a criminal trespassing warning for the property of 209 North Laurel Avenue.
On Friday, July 1, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Chester Drive in which the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver was identified as Derek Tabisious Terrell, 35, of White Plains. After further investigation, it was discovered that Terrell’s license was suspended due to child support obligation, but never officially served. The complainant stated that her boyfriend became angry after she woke him up and he destroyed two TV’s and an AC window unit. After further investigation, a warrant for second-degree criminal damage to property was issued for Derek Tabisious Terrell, 35, of White Plains.
On Saturday, July 2, while patrolling the area of East Broad Street, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle where the driver jumped out of the vehicle attempting to retrieve her license from the back seat. Officers advised the driver to get back into the vehicle and not to reach for anything. The driver was identified as Amy Peters-Leach, 51, of Greensboro. The passenger was identified as William Clayton Leach, 47, of Greensboro. After further investigation, the passenger was found to have an active probation warrant out of Greene County. Mr. Leach was advised to step out of the vehicle, as he attempted to reach in his pocket to remove items from his possession. While searching the vehicle, a glass pipe was found inside Mrs. Leach’s purse. Mr. Leach was arrested and transported to the Greene County LEC where he was booked and served his warrant and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a drug-related object. The driver, Mrs. Leach, was arrested on charges of speeding 62/35 MPH zone, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a drug-related object.
On Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, while patrolling the area of Siloam Road, Greensboro GA, officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers initiated a traffic stop where the driver was identified as Marco Rodriguez, 40, of Ladson, South Carolina. After further investigation, Rodriguez was arrested on charges of speeding and driving without license.
On Saturday, July 2, while patrolling the area of North Laurel Avenue, officers observed a driver not wearing a seatbelt. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle where the driver was identified as Oscar Trejo-Ramirez, 36, of Greensboro GA. After further investigation, Ramirez on charges with a seatbelt violation and driving without a license.
For the week of June 26 to July 2, the Greensboro Police Department responded to four accidents, and 94 citation(s) were issued.
MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to an Old Mill Road address in reference to a burglary. The complainant said a shed on the property had been burglarized with the loss of several items, including a red air compressor, a chainsaw, a 12-gauge shotgun, a .22 rifle, and a pair of bolt cutters and various wrenches.
Maynard Moses Ray, 31, an inmate at the Morgan County jail, is being charged with a criminal attempt to possess items prohibited for possession by inmates. According to the report, Ray was seen sliding paperclips, which could pose a safety and security hazard, underneath his shoestrings during a court proceeding.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Big Sandy Creek Road address in reference to a possible drug overdose June 29. The deputy administered Narcan to no effect. EMS personnel arrived and continued efforts to revive the man.
A local family received a call from someone on July 1 who told them their daughter had been kidnapped because she witnessed a drug deal and demanded $20,000 or the daughter would be raped and murdered. The allegedly kidnapped daughter accompanied her father to the MCSO to report the incident, but she had not been kidnapped.
Dalaona Keasia Thompkins, 20, of Eatonton was arrested July 1 and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, following too closely and no insurance.
A Morgan County deputy was sent to a West Dixie Highway address on July 1 in reference to damage to property complaint. The complainant said his camper had been damaged. Another man’s camper was also damaged at the storage lot where the campers were parked.
Lakeyla Monique Campbell, 39, of Greensboro was arrested July 1 on a warrant out of Dougherty County.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Lakeshore Drive address in Buckhead July 3 in reference to a property damage complaint. The complainant said a window on his lake house had been damaged.
Morgan County deputies responded to a Barrows Grove address on July 2 to take Matthew Joseph Winters into custody as requested by the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office. OCSO said Winters had fired a shot at a house in their county. When the deputies arrived, they were told Winters had barricaded himself into a room. They later learned that he had shot himself in the leg and his gun was secured. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital.
Kristi Loretta Lynn Stinnett, 40, was arrested July 4 on warrants out of Newton and Walton counties.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Greensboro Road address on July 4 in reference to a theft. The complainant said multiple items had been taken from the shed behind her barn, including a table saw, hands tools and two-floor jacks, a loss of approximately $3,000 in items A man renting a room at the same address said he was missing three diamond rings, a battery jump box, a Bluetooth speaker and a pencil drill valued at a total of $300.
A Morgan County deputy responded to a Brownwood Road address on July 4 in reference to a property damage complaint. The complainant said someone started a fire in her mailbox, causing part of it to melt. She also said she heard ATVs in the area and she rarely did in that area.
MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT
Laronte Jackson, 25, of Madison was arrested on June 26 and charged with giving a false name address or date of birth to a police officer. Jackson had multiple warrants for his arrest and tried to tell Corporal Stacey Eaton his name was Darrius Smith according to the report.
Kathryn Alexis Michelle Yates, 31, of Covington was arrested on June 24 and charged with theft. According to the report, Yates is accused of stealing $465 from the McDonald’s office.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Main Street address on June 21 in reference to damage to vehicle complaint. The complainant said she was driving down the road and heard a loud noise come from her car and later discovered a dent in the roof above the driver’s seat that might have been caused by a tree limb.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to the Pilot station on Eatonton Road on July 4 in reference to a theft. The complainant said someone stole his blue Volvo 630 tractor-trailer truck after he parked it there on June 30 to have work done on it. The truck had Quicksilver and Sons on the door and rusty orange in the color trailer.
