MORGAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to an Athens Highway address June 1 in reference to a theft complaint. The complainant said someone removed the catalytic converter from a Ford E-450 van belonging to Morgan County. The case was turned over to investigations.
A Morgan County deputy was flagged down by an employee of the Er. Snell Company which was doing road work in Morgan County on June 2. He said someone had taken two tires, rims and rotors from a mobile sign that had been located near milepost 107. The stolen items were valued at $500.
Melvin Cooper, 67, of Rutledge was arrested June 1 and charged with DUI, open container and driving too fast for conditions.
Morgan County deputies set up a safety checkpoint at Buckhead and Parks Mill roads on June 3. One warning was issued. A safety checkpoint was also set up at Old Mill Road and Dixie Highway on the same day. Three warnings were issued.
Deshun Zytarious Muckle, 20, of Athens was arrested June 4 and charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Teriyaki M. Lumpkin, 20, was arrested June 4 and charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Anthony W. Thompson, 19, was arrested June 4 and charged with trafficking in cocaine, speeding (76 mph in a 55-mph zone), DUI (drugs) and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Antavion J. Thompson, 18, was arrested June 4 and charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
A Morgan County deputy was dispatched to a Clack Road address June 5 in reference to a possible stray bullet hitting a house. The complainant said she heard something that sounded like a gunshot and then heard a loud metallic noise in her home. She showed the deputy a hole she believed to be a bullet hole, but the deputy was unable to determine if it was indeed a bullet hole.
Rodney Mickell Nicholson, 49, of Rutledge was arrested June 6 on a felony probation violation. He was also trespassed from Hard Labor State Park for what was described as lewd behavior.

Mauryssa Marine Jackson, 27, of Savannah was arrested May 31 on a warrant issued by the Social Circle Police Department.
MADISON POLICE DEPARTMENT
Melvin Chase Turner Reid, 47, of Madison was arrested June 1 and charged with criminal damage to property, crossing a guard line with contraband, possession of drugs not in original container and possession of schedule 2 controlled substances.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Foster Park Lane address June 2 in reference to an entering auto complaint. The complainant said someone stole his Smith & Wesson Colt .45 valued at $1,000 from his vehicle. The vehicle had been left unlocked.
A warrant has been obtained for the arrest of Cindy Ann Croy, 53, of Covington on theft charges. According to the report, Croy was terminated by the Golden Pantry store on N. Main Street and refuses to return keys to the business, claiming that she won’t until she receives her final paycheck. A Madison police officer spoke with her about the keys, but she hung up on him, resulting in the warrant.
Adrienne Marcella Pittman, 38, of Social Circle was arrested May 27 and charged with DUI (refusal), open container and failure to yield right of way.
Alex Paige Basham, 17, of Rutledge was issued a citation June 3 on the charge of theft by shoplifting.
A Madison police officer was dispatched to a Micha Way address June 5 in reference to a property damage complaint. The complainant said a window in the back door of her home had been broken while she was away. Nothing was reported missing.
GREENSBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
On Sunday, May 29, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West Broad Street for speeding. After further investigation, the driver, Zamir Johnny-Omar Graham, 22, of Greensboro GA was arrested on charges of speeding (73 mph in a 55-mph zone), possession of schedule I drugs and drugs not in original container.
On Sunday, May 29, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Meadowcrest Road after a complaint of a heavily intoxicated driver in the area. After further investigation, the driver, Audrey Stanczak, 29, of Augusta were arrested on charges of failure to maintain lane, open container and DUI.
On Sunday, May 29, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Mill Street for failure to maintain lane. After further investigation, the driver, Marcus Miller, 44, of Greensboro was served an Official Notice of Personal Suspension due to child support obligations.
On Tuesday, May 31, officers responded to the area of North Main Street in reference to a damage to property complaint. The complainant stated that a window was struck from the outside. There was no further incident.
On Tuesday, May 31, officers responded to the area of North East Street in reference to an unwanted person at a residence. After further investigation, Reeja Mitchell, 35, was arrested on the charge of disorderly conduct.
On Wednesday, June 1, officers responded to the area of East Greene Street in reference to a civil matter. The complainant was advised that the issue would need to be handled in magistrate court.
On Wednesday, June 1, officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of East Broad Street in which the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. After further investigation, the driver, Yunior Sales Lopez, 22, of Greensboro was arrested on charges of a seatbelt violation and driving without license.
On Thursday, June 2, officers responded to the area of MLK Jr. Drive in reference to a criminal damage to property complaint. The complainant stated that someone busted a window out of his trackhoe. The incident was turned over to investigators.
On Thursday, June 2, officers responded to the area of North Main Street in reference to a shoplifting complaint. After further investigation, Kerri Roberts, 53, of Greensboro was arrested on the charge of theft by shoplifting.
On Friday, June 3, officers met with a complainant at GPD in reference to a financial card fraud complaint. The complainant stated that someone had been using his card information to make purchases at Home Depot. The incident was turned over to investigators.
On Friday, June 3, officers responded to the area of Rachel Street in reference to a resident finding bullet holes in her wall. After further investigation, Immanuel Joseph-Thomas Wright, 19, of Conyers was arrested on charges of reckless conduct and discharge of firearms on the property of another. Wright was also issued a criminal trespassing warning for the Greensboro Village Apartments.
On Friday, June 3, officers responded to the area of East Broad Street in reference to a criminal damage to property. The complainant stated that his vehicle was damaged while sitting in a friend’s yard.
On Saturday, June 4, officers responded to the area of East Broad Street in reference to a terroristic threats complaint. The complainant stated that an individual began yelling at her and her husband while they sat inside their home and threatening to kill them. Officers made contact with the individual. Officers issued a criminal trespassing warning to Dave Thomas, 58, of Greensboro for the property of 1760 East Broad Street, Greensboro.
On Saturday, June 4, officers responded to the area of South Main Street in response to an unresponsive person. The scene was turned over to EMS workers.
For the week of May 29through June 4, the Greensboro Police Department responded to four accidents, and 27 citations were issued.
