Greene BOE hears proposals for building, sign

The Greene County Board of Education heard two project proposals during its first meeting of the year on Jan. 16.The JROTC department presented a proposal for an annex building totaling just under 15,000 sq. ft., located near the high school gym and adding to the existing JROTC space.

One Morgan: Community rallies after tragic accident

The Morgan community has shown what it means to be “One Morgan,” jumping into action to help one another following the tragic ATV accident last Monday that killed 12-year-olds Bennett Rabern and Avett Jackson but also injured 12-year-old Bryson Hammond.

Buckhead stores burglarized

A pair of convenience stores in the Buckhead area were burglarized last week.Morgan County deputies responded to the Sunoco off Seven Islands Road on the morning of Jan. 16 about a burglary. Deputies found the window shattered and a pick axe between window bars.

Putnam BOC chairman breaks tie to confirm HB 581 opt-in

Special election coming for open District 5 seat on county commission
