A Greene County woman was arrested May 23 after allegedly stabbing her husband four times, according to Greene County Sheriff Donnie Harrison.
Elizabeth Wood Hall, 46, faces charges of aggravated assault in the wake of the incident.
Reports say Deputy Ryan Hall was dispatched to a Brick House Road address at 4:18 p.m. in reference to an aggravated assault and made contact with Bruce Hall, 55, who was the victim.
Bruce said he met his wife, Elizabeth, after work at a location near Bethany Church and Crumblin roads, where he was waiting to give her some money.
According to reports, Elizabeth pulled up next to Bruce, exited her vehicle, and “began forcefully slashing and thrusting at Bruce with a knife.” Bruce said that after the incident, Elizabeth left in her 2010 Hyundai Tucson headed towards Union Point.
A BOLO was placed on Elizabeth and the vehicle.
Bruce said he contacted a friend to take him to the hospital due to his wife stabbing him.
According to reports, Bruce’s work truck had blood on the driver’s side seat and all over the driver’s side window.
Less than two hours later, Harrison, Lt. Patrick Paquette, and Sgt. Don Smith went to 5041 Penfield Rd. in an attempt to locate Elizabeth.
A bystander standing in the front yard of the residence told Paquette that Elizabeth was in the bathroom of the residence.
According to the report, Paquette entered the residence and eventually found an unidentified female in a bedroom next to the bathroom. The female told Paquette that Elizabeth was in the closet.
Paquette gave verbal commands for her to come out of the closet, according to the report. Elizabeth opened the closet door and was taken into custody.
She was handcuffed to the rear and placed in the back of Paquette’s patrol vehicle. She was then transported to the jail and served her warrant.
