Tennis booster club treasurer arrested

According to an investigation being conducted by Lt. Dylan Hinds of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, more than $7,000 was recently found missing from a Morgan County High School Booster Club Account for the girls' tennis team.

Suspected meth trafficker arrested

An Eatonton man was arrested earlier this week by deputies with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division Drug Unit.Deputies stopped and arrested Shawn Daniel Malm on May 10 as he drove into Putnam County after allegedly picking up methamphetamine in Macon, according to Lt.

Taxpayers to get rebates from the state within weeks

Georgia taxpayers should begin seeing income tax refunds from the state soon.Most eligible taxpayers who filed timely state returns for 2024 and 2025 can expect one-time rebates of $250 for individuals, $375 for heads of household, and $500 for married couples filing jointly.
