Suspect who fled traffic stop caught

A Monticello man who fled from a Morgan County deputy on Jan. 31 and led police on a high-speed chase with speeds in excess of 120 mph was finally tracked down and arrested on Feb. 6 by MCSO deputies.

Monroe woman killed in Rutledge single-car crash

A Monroe woman was killed on Feb. 1 in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 278. According to reports obtained from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Cameron Pound was dispatched to the scene at approximately 2 a.m.
