PCSO investigating rash of stolen utility vehicles

Coal ash processing facility coming to Plant Branch

Georgia Power Company says it will be a decade or more before work is completed on the transfer of toxic coal ash from four ponds to a new 115-acre landfill on the old Plant Branch site.

New road closures, parking for Bostwick Cotton Gin Festival

The annual Bostick Cotton Gin Festival is scheduled for Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and once again some new wrinkles have been introduced for parking and road closures. One of the biggest changes will be a separate exit for leaving the parking lot back onto Echols Road.
