Schmuhl sworn in as GCSS superintendent

    The Greene County Board of Education held a called meeting on July 10 to vote on the final approval of Dr. Arryn Schmuhl as the new GCSS superintendent. 

    The BOE entered an executive session to discuss personnel matters, and Schmuhl was sworn in by Judge Russell Wall shortly after.

    Schmuhl’s appointment took place following a required 14-day public notice period, during which the Greene County BOE named him as the sole finalist for the superintendent position. The BOE began its search for new leadership in late April, with assistance from the search firm McPherson and Jacobson.
