Second Harvest food distribution coming Saturday to First Methodist

Second Harvest will host its monthly food distribution at First Methodist Church Greensboro-Lake Oconee (202 W. Broad St.), on Saturday, March 21, 8-9 a.m. or until supplies run out. The Lake Oconee Humane Society will also be on-site to distribute pet food and supplies.

More than 200 people enjoyed a night of fashion, community, and philanthropy as St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation hosted its biannual fashion show fundraiser, Legacy of Style, Feb. 26 at Lake Oconee Church.

The 15th annual Athens Physical Therapy Firefly Trail Ticket to Ride cycling event will roll out of Athens, Winterville, and Union Point on March 28 to celebrate the 12 miles of trail already open and raise funds and support to complete the remaining 27 miles of the 39-mile rail-trail.
