MMCC presents ‘Hudson in Full Hue’

The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) will present a companion exhibit to its highly successful “Emergence – In Black and White” with an opening-night reception from 6-7:30 p.m., Feb. 6 at the MMCC.

Georgia TOTY Kinsaul to lead Statewide Day of Service

Georgia 2026 Teacher of the Year Rachel Kinsaul is planning to lead a statewide Day of Service for students on March 18. The Morgan County High School agricultural science teacher is encouraging schools and districts across the state to participate in the initiative.

VFW recognizes outstanding service

Madison’s VFW Post 2557 recently held its annual Christmas dinner to reflect on its accomplishments and to foster fellowship among members and their families.In 2026, Post 2557 earned All-American and All-State awards and is among the top posts in District 4 thanks to a dedicated group of members.

LOABA to host The Big Event in March

Presented by the Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA), The Big Event, a free, one-day festival featuring 160-plus local exhibitors, food vendors, and live entertainment, will return on March 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Lake Oconee Church in Greensboro.

LOA students advance to state DECA competition
