Pastors unite for National Day of Prayer

Fifteen pastors, or their last-minute substitutes, gathered at Lakepoint Community Church to pray together, asking God to heal our current problems and continue to bless our wonderful country.

Rain or shine, the dogs came out to run

Circle of Friends held its 16th annual Dawgy 5K on Saturday. The run took place through the residential streets of Greensboro, starting from Oconee Brewing. Despite the rain, a large turnout of dogs and humans supported the run, with all proceeds going to COFAS.

GTHP Expedition will tour historic Eatonton

The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation (GTHP) will showcase Eatonton's rich history and architecture during the GTHP Expedition on Aug. 17.

Georgia Writers Museum workshop: The revision secret

Authors often get stuck in the revision process. They recognize their manuscript needs work but are unsure of what’s wrong. So, they fiddle with comma placement, delete a few words here, add different ones there, and still don’t feel like they’ve significantly improved their literary product.

BBQ Festival gets cooking

Despite the threat of rain, many hungry people took to the fields of The Farm last Saturday for the 2nd annual BBQ Festival, a significant event that directly benefits the Pete Nance Boys and Girls Club of Greensboro.
