GWM to host best-selling author at The Plaza

We all enjoy a compelling story about an unrecognized hero who finally gets the affirmation they are due. Georgia Writers Museum is fortunate to host award-winning, best-selling author Lynn Cullen as its Meet the Author presenter on July 16 at The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton.

Last Thursday evening at Festival Hall was great entertainment and fun as Bingo for the Arts took to the stage in front of a large crowd.
The Broadway Intensive Program is preparing to perform “Working,” a musical that portrays American workers that “the world so often takes for granted.” For this program, participants have only two weeks to learn their lines, practice on stage, prepare their set, and learn all of the technology to put on a full Broadway production. The Humane Society of Morgan County (HSMC) held its 30th-anniversary festival Saturday at the Madison Lion’s Club. The fundraising event ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and was open to the public and canine companions.
