Pistons for Paws

The first Pistons for Paws Charity Car and Aircraft Show got underway Sunday morning at the City of Madison Airport. All proceeds will go to the Humane Society of Morgan County.This event was sponsored personally by oncologist Dr.

Dual Vision presents art through different eyes

The eighth annual Dual Vision: Art Through Different Eyes show opens with a reception this Thursday, from 5-7:30 p.m., at Barrel 118 (118 N. Jefferson Ave., Eatonton). The exhibit will also be available for viewing on Friday and Saturday.The opening reception is free and open to the public.

A plush version of Phryge, the mascot for the Paris Olympic Games, sits atop the pastry case at Sylvia’s Coffee in downtown Eatonton. The stuffed mascot reminds owners Michael and Diana Homeier of the once-in-a-lifetime experience they had attending the Paris Olympics.
