Greensboro Mayor Corey Williams and his wife hosted the inaugural Mayor’s Gala Saturday evening at Festival Hall.
This black-tie event was an evening affair celebrating community, philanthropy, and sophistication. It benefitted the Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club and Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
Music was heard throughout the evening from the John Dunn Band, and following dinner, the dancing began.
The Mayor’s Youth Council was formed last April, and Mayor Williams and each council member mentor a young group member.
“This gala was a successful event, and we look forward to next year’s gala and this becoming an annual event,” said a spokesperson from the mayor’s office.
