Harbor Club golf tournament goes pink

The 14th annual Harbor Club Pink Ribbon Golf Tournament was held Oct. 10 at Harbor Club, and lady golfers from Harbor Club, Reynolds, Cuscowilla, and Monroe participated.Raffle tickets were on sale Sunday to early Thursday morning for the many fabulous items donated by supporters and local vendors.

Wellington Park will become Andrews Park

Whether you were among those who knew it as Black Top or those who knew it as Wellington Park, the city park on Hwy. 83, just north of Madison Town Square, will henceforth be known as Rodney Andrews Park in honor of the late scholar and Madison native.

Lake Oconee Elks honor wounded veterans

Georgia Safari International and the Lake Oconee Elks Lodge No. 2849 presented an Honor Ride on Oct. 18 in support of wounded veterans.Veterans and supporters met at Home Depot, and at 10:30 a.m., the procession of bikes and cars, led by Greene County Sheriff Donnie Harrison, began down Hwy.

The Greene County Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards luncheon last Tuesday at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, to celebrate the achievements of local businesses and individuals who have made a significant impact in the community.

Second-most haunted town in Georgia?
