Georgia-Pacific donates to local firefighters

On Oct. 29, Georgia—Pacific (GP) Madison Plywood hosted a catered dinner for about 50 firefighters at Morgan County Fire Rescue.During the event, GP announced donations of $5,000 to MCFR and $5,000 to the Madison Fire Department.

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene on Sept. 26, the Lake Oconee Academy (LOA) community swiftly united to support nearby communities in need.Within hours, teachers, students, and LOA families reached out to Dr.

Choate Family Farm named 2024 Conservationist of the Year

The Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District recently held its 63rd Annual Conservationist of the Year Banquet at Rock Eagle. Each year, over 150 farmers and partners in conservation gather to recognize and celebrate significant local efforts in the field.

TJ Bishop’s in downtown Madison has become a target destination for everything a man needs to complete his wardrobe—from jeans and belts to sports jackets.Before the shop opened in 2020, there was no place in Madison where men could find quality outfits.

Lake Oconee Church hosts Women’s Wellness Conference

The Women’s Wellness Conference 2024 was held on Oct. 25 at Lake Oconee Church in front of a large audience.The conference was presented by IV Wellness Solutions, highlighting two non-profit organizations in Eatonton, Cheerful Heart Ministry and The Artisans Village.
