Greensboro enjoys LCC’s ‘A Tinseltown Christmas’

The Lake Country Chorus (LCC) presented “A Tinseltown Christmas” at the First Methodist Church in Greensboro last Thursday evening.The annual event sold out once more and drew high praise from attendees.

‘Family Tree’ film focuses on Black foresters

On Nov. 20, the Plaza Arts Center reached the halfway point of its inaugural six-event Southern Circuit Film Tour with the showing of “Family Tree,” an exploration of two distinctly different Black families managing timber growth and sales on their North Carolina land.

Holiday events coming up in Madison

Madison’s annual holiday parade and Caroling by Candlelight returns Saturday, Dec. 14, with fun new twists. Enjoy the parade’s Twelve Days of Christmas theme from 4-5 p.m. and follow Santa to Town Park for Caroling by Candlelight from 5-7 p.m.
