LOA boys, girls earn All-Region honors

Even though neither of Lake Oconee Academy’s basketball teams made the postseason, both had several players earn All-Region honors.In total, six LOA athletes received postseason awards.For the Titans, two players made the All-Region team.

Titans finish season showing growth

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team saw its season come to an end last week with a loss to a seasoned opponent.Warren County upended the Titans 60-45 to advance to the second round of the Region 8-Class A Division II tournament, bringing the Titans’ 2025–26 campaign to a close.

LOA boys hit rough patch

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team is in the middle of its most challenging stretch of the season, but the Titans are viewing the adversity as an opportunity for long-term growth.Facing a loaded region schedule, LOA has taken its share of lumps against quality competition.

Titans heading in ‘right direction’ at right time

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team is looking to peak at the right time of the 2025-26 season.The Titans are trending in the right direction, as they’ve started playing better in the last few weeks.

Titans take on Gatlinburg for end-of-year tournament

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team ended 2025 with a trip Dec. 29-31 to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, for the Smoky Mountain Winter Classic. The Titans (3-7) faced Morgan County (Kentucky) in their first night of competition, then faced Wren High School (South Carolina) the following evening.

Titans to replace key production from last year

Lake Oconee Academy lost much of its production from the 2024-25 basketball season and aims to replace it this year.The Titans lost their leading scorer, Canon Mullen, whose dad, Dan Mullen, accepted a job as the head football coach at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Titans hit the court this summer

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team began its summer workouts earlier this month.The Titans remain optimistic about the 2025-26 season, despite losing three of their top four scorers from last year.

LOA boys, girls earn postseason awards

Several members of Lake Oconee Academy’s basketball teams earned All-Region honors after the end of the season.Three Titans received All-Region honors, and four Lady Titans were recognized on the postseason awards list.

Titans fall in region tournament, miss playoffs

The Lake Oconee Academy boys basketball team saw its season end in the region tournament on Feb. 11.Lincoln County defeated the Titans 60-35 in the quarterfinal round, ending their hopes of making the postseason for the first time in program history.

Titans ready to face a ‘gauntlet’
