Gov. Brian Kemp has appointed Robert Markley as a member of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.Markley is the former sheriff of Morgan County, where he served in the position for 24 years.“I am humbled at the opportunity to serve the citizens of Georgia as a member of the parole board.

Morgan County Sheriff Robert Markley was recognized by the U.S. Capitol this week as he prepares to turn in his badge.U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, whose district includes Morgan County, visited the sheriff’s office Monday and presented Markley with a flag that was flown over the U.S.

Sheriff’s office deploys license plate-reading cameras

Morgan County Sheriff Robert Markley announced the activation of Flock License Plate Reader (LPR) cameras throughout the county last week. According to a press release sent from the MCSO, Markley is excited about this new tool and its potential for public safety enhancement.
