VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs to face familiar foe in state final

After defeating Sandy Creek (36-17, 3-0) in four sets in its state semifinal match last weekend, the Morgan County volleyball team (35-6, 10-0) earned a trip to the LakePoint Sports Complex Friday in Emerson for the GHSA Class 3A State Championship game.

VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs continue to roll into the second round

The Morgan County Spike Dogs continued to play impressive volleyball as the team headed into the first round of the GHSA Class AAA state playoffs Tuesday. The Spike Dogs hosted the Calvary Day Cavaliers and used the home court to their advantage.

VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs celebrate Senior Night

The Morgan County volleyball team celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday before facing Oconee County. The Spike Dogs honored four seniors - Mackenzie Pitzer, Addy Christian, Presley Hill, and Briana Worley. Next week, they will start the post-season as the No. 1 seed from Region 4-AAA.

VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs clinch top spot in region

The Morgan County volleyball team (31-5) has only lost two matches since the beginning of September and ended the month with a ton of momentum heading into postseason play. The Spike Dogs defeated the Musketeers of Academy of Richmond County (ARC) in two straight sets on Sept.

Volleyball Roundup: Morgan, LOA keep rolling; Greene gets first W

The Morgan County, Lake Oconee Academy and Greene County volleyball programs all continued their region matchups last week. They each enter this week of competition with only a few contests left before the end of the 2022 season.

VOLLEYBALL: Spike Dogs continue to roll

The Morgan County volleyball team has had an exceptional run through the month of September, and it doesn’t look like they’ll accept anything less. The Spike Dogs are 11-2 since Sept. 1, and had a 12-game winning streak from Aug. 18 to Sept. 8 in which they didn’t lose a single set.

The Morgan County volleyball team is accustomed to having successful seasons due to the amount of athletes they have on its side of the net, year-in-and-year-out.

The Morgan County volleyball team has been getting a lot of practice over the course of the summer. Whether it’s with the high school team or outside club teams, the girls on the Bulldogs’ roster have shown they might already be ready for the season.
