Dogs rack up All-Region honors

The Morgan County football team is coming off a successful season, finishing 2025 with a 12-1 record.The Dogs won a regional title and returned to the quarterfinals of the playoffs for a second straight year.

Morgan County football celebrates early signing period

Morgan County football’s Davis Strickland, Christian Monfort, and Brody Jenkins are now officially headed to play at the next level.The three seniors signed their letters of intent in a brief ceremony on Dec. 10, as part of the NCAA’s early signing period.

Hornets sting Dogs in quarterfinals

Morgan County’s season ended on Nov. 28 in the GHSA Class 2A quarterfinal with a 34-22 loss to Hapeville Charter.The Dogs made too many mistakes and didn’t execute, allowing the Hornets to capitalize.

Dogs win track meet over Wolverines, advance to second straight quarterfinal

Morgan County is headed back to the Class 2A quarterfinals for a second straight season.The No. 4 seed Dogs triumphed over No. 13 Miller Grove 49-28 on Nov. 21 to advance.“I’m just really proud of our guys,” Morgan County head coach Clint Jenkins said after the game.

Dogs win first round of playoffs over Seminoles

Morgan County kicked off the postseason on Nov. 14, hosting Westside of Macon in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.The two teams had already played earlier this season, with the Dogs winning 56-14 on Sept. 26.

Perfect regular season means a lot to Morgan County seniors

Morgan County’s win over Callaway to capture the region title on Oct. 31 was special for the program.With the 43-22 win over the Cavaliers, the Dogs capped off the 2025 regular season with a perfect 10-0 record for the first time in over half a century.

Dogs dominate Callaway to claim region title

No. 3 Morgan County capped off the regular season with a victory over No. 5 Callaway, claiming the Region 2-2A championship.The Dogs also made history on Halloween night with their 43-22 win over the Cavaliers, marking their first 10-0 regular-season finish since 1974.

‘Dogs sink Pirates, prepare for region title against Cavs

Dogs spank Seminoles in region opener

Morgan County continues to dominate under Friday night lights and shows no signs of backing down anytime soon.The Dogs (6-0) defeated Westside of Macon 56-14 at home on Sept. 26, claiming their first region victory.
