‘Dogs rack up All-Region honors

After its best season since 1962, Morgan County football racked up postseason All-Region 4-AA honors.Several players were named to the All-Region first team, and four were on the honorable mention list.Senior wide receiver Jaylen Elder highlighted the postseason award list for the Dogs.

Elder, Frazzitta to be next Dogs at D1 level

Morgan County football’s Jaylen Elder and Draco Frazzitta are headed to play at the Division I level.Elder and Frazzitta officially signed to their respective schools during a ceremony held on Dec. 4 at the school’s football facility.

Elder has career day as Dogs down Jackson

It was the Jaylen Elder show this past week for Morgan County on Senior Night.Elder helped the Dogs defeat region foe Jackson 36-7, catching a career-high 12 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 21.7 yards per reception and had a long catch of 86 yards.

’Dogs pound Putnam behind solid offensive display

Morgan County answered the call again on offense in a 42-28 road win over Putnam County this past week.The ‘Dogs racked up 617 yards of total offense and scored 48 points in their first game against Warren County.

Basketball ‘Dogs, Lady Dogs earn All-Region honors

Morgan County’s basketball teams recently announced that six players made the All-Region 4-AAA list in 2024. The ‘Dogs and Lady Dogs had three players each make either the All-Region First or Second teams.
