Courthouse space committee begins work

The Courthouse Vacant Space Allocation committee (CVSA) finally held its first meeting Tuesday to plan its strategy for solving problems of crowded conditions in offices and general repair needs at the 175-year-old Greene County Courthouse in downtown Greensboro.

Committee to consider courthouse crowding in Greene County

On Tuesday, the Greene County Board of Commissioners appointed five members to the Courthouse Vacant Space Allocation (CVSA) committee.

What’s the future of the Greene County courthouse?

The Greene County Board of Commissioners has scheduled a call meeting on Monday, July 29, to discuss how to solve the problem of overcrowding at the Greene County Courthouse in downtown Greensboro.

Courthouse speculation continues

An old brick courthouse in operation since 1849 stands in the center of Greensboro and holds abundant history and lore for the area as the main judicial center for Greene County. The oldest standing courthouse of Greek-Revival style in the state houses Superior Court and Magistrate Court.
