Soles confident in team’s growth

Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball hit the gym earlier this summer and prepared for the upcoming season.The Lady Titans spent nearly three weeks together last month.

Three Lady Titans get All-Region nods

The Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball team had two players selected to the All-Region team this season, with another named to the honorable mention list.

Free throws seal LOA’s playoff fate

Christian Heritage got the best of Lake Oconee Academy last Friday in a second-round playoff tilt.The final few seconds of the game came down to free throws, and the Lady Lions took advantage of their opportunity to seal the game by nailing both to defeat the Lady Titans 49-47 in a tight battle.

Bosart leads LOA to fourth-straight region title

With the region championship game on the line, Lake Oconee Academy senior Georgia Bosart just took over.  Bosart didn’t play much in the first half due to early foul trouble, but she took over in the second half, especially in the fourth quarter.

Lady Titans ‘clicking’ at the right time

Lake Oconee Academy’s girls' basketball team is putting it all together at the right time of the year. The Lady Titans (13-7, 6-2 Class A Division II - Region 8) have rattled off seven consecutive wins. Three of those seven wins came as a sweep of Towns County and against Warren County.

Defense drives Lady Titans in win over Warren County

Defense was key in Lake Oconee Academy’s 47-39 win over No. 7 Warren County this past Friday. The Lady Titans limited the Lady Screaming Devils to 11 combined points in the second and third quarters. Their aggressive defensive prowess and tactics were the difference for them in the end.

Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball senior Georgia Bosart scored her 1,000th point last week. Bosart reached the mark in a 45-43 loss to out-of-state opponent Graceville during a tournament in Panama City Beach.

Lady Titans learn to grow within tough schedule

After back-to-back state championship appearances, including a title win two years ago, the Lake Oconee Academy girls’ basketball team is facing a tough reality in the first half of its season this year.

Soles hopes for steady progression in second year

The Lake Oconee Academy girls basketball program is coming off of its second trip to the GHSA Class A Division II State title game, and they are already practicing again.

Lady Titans wrap up summer workouts

After coming up short in last year’s GHSA Class A Division II state championship game, the Lake Oconee Academy girls basketball team has taken this offseason to develop its weaknesses.
