FOOTBALL GAME PREVIEW: Greene County at Morgan County - The county-line rivalry continues...

The Morgan County-Greene County rivalry dates back to 1966, according to the Georgia High School Football Historic Association. The Bulldogs and Tigers haven’t played since 2019, but they did play in a preseason scrimmage last year in Tigers Stadium. Now, this season’s contest will count.

FOOTBALL PREVIEW - Greene County at B.E.S.T Academy: Tigers hope to be better than BEST

The Greene County Tigers head to Atlanta this Friday to take on the Business Engineering Science Tech (BEST) Eagles in their season opener. The two teams have never played each other, and both programs come into the 2022 season with first-year head coaches.

FOOTBALL: Banks and the ‘Boro Boyz’ look to bounce back

After missing the playoffs the last three seasons, the Greene County Tigers are ready to get back to winning ways. Since the program began back in 1966, the Tigers have won seven region championships and the state championship once in 1993.

Greene County High School has seen multiple players advance from its football program to play at the next level, and Arkiyus Wright and Malik West hope to be the next pair of Tigers to do so.

FOOTBALL: Tigers ‘get acclimated’ in preparation for fall camp

Greene County football started its final week of summer practice on Monday. The Tigers were dressed in shells - shorts, shoulder pads, and helmets - as a part of the GHSA’s “acclimation week” before the start of fall camp, which begins next week.

FOOTBALL: Tigers visit Grady Jarrett’s 7v7 camp

One of the main things that new GCHS head football coach Terrance Banks wanted to do when he arrived was to change parts of the culture within the program. He feels like the lack of athlete exposure is something that he can develop immediately.
