It was a rainy Friday night under the lights of Tiger Stadium, and the Greene County Tigers (2-1) persevered through three turnovers in the red zone to beat the Hancock Central Bulldogs (1-2) by a score of 27-18.

FOOTBALL: Banks and the ‘Boro Boyz’ look to bounce back

After missing the playoffs the last three seasons, the Greene County Tigers are ready to get back to winning ways. Since the program began back in 1966, the Tigers have won seven region championships and the state championship once in 1993.

FOOTBALL: Tigers ‘get acclimated’ in preparation for fall camp

Greene County football started its final week of summer practice on Monday. The Tigers were dressed in shells - shorts, shoulder pads, and helmets - as a part of the GHSA’s “acclimation week” before the start of fall camp, which begins next week.
